Christmas isn't always a time of happiness. That's why we invite you to donate a Christmas gift to children who need a glimmer of hope and something exciting to look forward to. Purchase or donate a Christmas gift that you believe a child may wish for and bring it to our "Lonely Christmas Tree".
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Purchase or donate a gift.
This could be toys, clothes, or experiences - a movie ticket can be a fantastic gift for children of all ages. We encourage you to ensure that the gift is in good condition. - Wrap the gift.
Include a note with the approximate age and interests the gift is suitable for. For example: 'This gift is great for a child aged 3-5 who loves playing outdoors. Merry Christmas from Fredrik!' - Place the gift under the Christmas tree at the entrance to the Expedition Hall. We are accepting gifts until December 21st."

WHERE DO THE GIFTS GO?
On Christmas Eve, the 'HumanJul' event is organized in collaboration with the Humanists at Sommerro. This heartwarming event provides families in various life situations with a worry-free Christmas Eve filled with entertainment, delicious food, and joy. You can also contribute to the children's happiness by placing Christmas gifts under our Christmas tree. Your thoughtfulness adds extra joy and creates a memorable Christmas for the little ones.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Lonely Christmas Tree Project is part of a larger initiative at Nordic Hotels & Resorts. Together with Giving Tuesday, a day that encourages people to do good, we want to take the opportunity to give back to our communities. Since 2012, Nordic Hotels & Resorts, along with Nordic Choice Hotels, have collected over 446,370 gifts in the Lonely Christmas Tree Project. We are eternally grateful to those of you who wish to contribute.
